The UBarber Story
UBarber began as a ‘perfect storm’ collaboration between Farley Santiago, a barber from Brazil who had already achieved millions of views online, and Angelo Khoshaba , who built and runs Regal Grooming Lounge, the most premium Barber Shop in Vancouver, Canada. Angelo had long desired to build an education platform to solve the difficulty of finding great barbers, and Farley wanted an opportunity to move abroad and impact even more people through his continuing growth as a master barber.
Thus, UBarber was born and now has its sights set on becoming a global leader in online barbering education. Ubarber’s goal is to empower barbers with the skills, artistry, and confidence to master their craft and set the path for a fulfilling and lucrative career.

Farley Santiago
Farley is a renowned Brazilian barber with over 5,000 online students and extensive experience at Vancouver’s top barbershop, Regal Grooming Lounge. With 270,000 YouTube subscribers and 22 million views, Farley is a trusted resource for aspiring barbers. His student-centered teaching approach is practical and straightforward, focusing on simple, effective techniques that build confidence and mastery. Farley’s commitment to education empowers barbers to elevate their craft and achieve their career goals.
Angelo Koshaba
Born in Iraq, educated in Italy and now a successful entrepreneur in Canada. After a running a Vancouver restaurant for 20 years, Angelo took a leap into the barbering industry with Regal Grooming Lounge. Through trial, error and listening to staff and clients, he has built Regal into the premiere spot in Vancouver for men's grooming needs. UBarber is the logical next stage in the journey as a big challenge in operating a great barbershop is finding great barbers.
Ju Tenuta
Originally from Brazil, Ju holds a degree in Language Arts and a TESL certification from UBC. While working at Regal Grooming Lounge (since the beginning), Ju developed a passion for the industry and became integral in discovering global talent to bring to Regal. As coordinator of UBarber, Ju aims to expand that search for global talent and help to show barbers what is truly possible with their journey.
Katrice Mejia
Katrice is a Caribbean soul who came to Canada to complete her Marketing degree. Passionate about capturing moments and creating meaningful content, she discovered the art behind barbering after joining the industry. From knowing nothing about fades or cuts, she now captures the beauty of it, proving that anyone can master their craft. Being part of UBarber’s creative team has been an incredible journey, and she’s excited to see how the academy will impact barbers worldwide.
Marco Jauregui
Marco began part-time in Mexico at his parents’ barbershop, where he was mentored and developed his skills. After a decade in the old-school barbershop industry he took his skills to the competitive Vancouver market. Now, he specializes in unique techniques for cutting hair and beards of all lengths, textures, fades, and styles. Outside of work, Marco enjoys playing guitar and singing.
Regal Grooming Lounge
Regal Grooming Lounge, the top men’s grooming destination in Vancouver, serves as the home base for UBarber. Started by Angelo in 2017, Regal has been known for its commitment to excellence, combining luxury services with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s here that our students gain access to the real-world expertise of master barbers in an environment that’s all about quality, precision, and care. Regal provides the perfect backdrop for UBarber’s mission to teach the craft at the highest level, ensuring that each barber we train is prepared to excel in any setting.
